Hi everyone!  My name is Amanda Duffy and I am a researcher at the American Institutes for Research.  Although my title is researcher, I do very little formal research.  My title should be Adult Education Specialist or Technical Assistance Specialist because that’s actually what I do!  I design and facilitate a wide variety of professional development activities within the field of adult education from webinars to Training of Trainer programs.  I’ve been in adult ed for over 10 years and started as a classroom teacher and program assistant.  I’ve taught and designed curriculum for the lowest levels of ESL to GED preparation.  I absolutely love adult ed!  I’ve met so many wonderful people with such varied experiences (teachers and students!) and have learned so much from all of them.  I’m thrilled to be part of this group and am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from all of you.
